授業内容と方法
|
This course will start from Thursday, May 7th 2020. We will be conducting an on-line class so please make sure you have access to a computer and Webclass. I will post vocabulary quizzes and other materials on Webclass. We will be using the textbook English Presentation Today アクティビティで学ぶ英語プレゼン術 (Pond 2008). We will follow this textbook, unit by unit. Together, we will learn and enhance our English presentation skills.
Enrollment for this course is full so you cannot register. If you want to withdraw from this course, submit the necessary document via email.
Assignments will be sent to your university email so please make sure to check your university email. Notification about your first assignment will be sent on Monday, April 20th. Please submit your assignment by May 6th to my email address. kohei.yamazato.2020@gmail.com
As a student at an university and when you enter a workplace after graduation, you will have many opportunities to do presentations. This course is designed to help you enhance your presentation skills. You will learn what presentations are, how to prepare, and other crucial elements that are attached to presentations. We will learn step by step. Students will find some things related to social issues and create a power point and do a presentation in English, both at the individual level and group level. Students are required to do research before presenting and use the presentation skills that you learn from the textbook. Students will take vocabulary quizzes, write a short response paper for the midterm-examination and take a Final Exam. By the end of the course, students will have learned the practical features when doing a presentation and should be able to conduct presentations without difficulty.
