授業内容と方法
|
|
This course will explore a number of challenging aspects of English grammar. The goal of the course is to help broaden and deepen students understanding of a number of tricky areas of English grammar, and give them practice in applying this knowledge in order to improve both their written and spoken English. After the first few lectures, teams of students will be asked to present short summaries of assigned sections of the textbook to their classmates. The instructor will then supplement and clarify these student-led discussions, and answer student questions about the content. There will be regular quizzes and exercises to strengthen the students' understanding.

授業計画
|
Each class will focus on one unit from the textbook, "Fundamentals of English Grammar". A detailed schedule will be discussed with students on the first day, and can be adjusted depending on the needs and interests of the students.

Students *must* read the assigned units for each class, and do the practice problems as well. Students who come to class unprepared will not do well in the course.

Students *must* review the chapters covered in each class, and do the practice problems that are assigned. Weekly assignments and quizzes will be administered online, and students must complete these each week.
